At Cosmic Curls, I specialize in working with naturally curly hair. Celebrating every wave, curl, and coil.
My approach is all about customization. From tailored haircuts designed to enhance your unique curl pattern, to personalized color that brings out the best in your texture. I don’t just style your curls I help you understand them. Education is a key part of every appointment, so you leave the chair feeling confident in your curls and how to care for them.

Hair Prep for Full Curly Cut & Express Curly Cut
Textured hair is easily manipulated when moving throughout a cut, which is why I always cut dry with curls in their most natural state
Without having wearing your hair tied back/up, please arrive for your appointment with a fresh “Wash and Go” style at least 48 hours before your appointment. (Less than 24hrs if you have a sensitive scalp and are prone to have large knots.)
A Wash & Go style means to cleanse your scalp, condition and fully detangle your hair on wash day, then style your hair with lightweight products of choice. Avoid using oily and heavily weighted products, as they can leave a heavy residue layered on your curls once dry. Ideally, the products used should allow access your hair easily throughout the cut. Dry as you normally would to ensure the accuracy of your curls’ natural state - letting it air dry or diffusing.
Never arrive with your hair matted and tangled.
If you arrive unprepared for your service, you will be charged for the appointment and your appointment will be rescheduled immediately. Rarely do I choose to proceed with washing first and then cutting, as I usually do not have time to restyle it. If there is time to style it again, you will be charged for the additional style.
Recommended for all NEW and RETURNING clients
Hair should be worn down and completely dry for appointment
Do not pull, pin, tie or push hair down tightly, as this stretches the curls too much - especially around your face. If you did not follow hair prep recommendations and detangling your hair takes longer than the given time for your service, you will be charged a detangling fee. Please note that a $25 fee begins at every 15-minute interval past wash time. This charge is non-negotiable.
Please do not have your hair in any kind of twist, braids or updo since it can change your curl/wave pattern and direction. NOTE: After consulting, we begin the service by cutting dry. I understand some appointments are after work hours where you may need to style your hair back, so we can understand if hair is loosely tucked using bobby pins or butterfly clips and without any tension on the curls. Please use your best judgment!
If you choose to Wash & Go directly before your appointment and are concerned it will not be dry on time, please check in with me first! I might be able to accommodate your arrival a few minutes before your appointment to finish drying under our hooded dryer. Send me an email ahead of time if you would like to consider this option.
Please choose your appointment time wisely where you can accommodate hair prep into your schedule. I have a strict 48 Hour cancellation policy for last minute cancellations.
Deposits are required for all existing and future appointments
Booking Deposits & Card on File
When booking an appointment, an active credit/debit card is required to be kept on file.
• Haircuts, Styling, and Color Retouch Services now require a non-refundable $20 (Retouch/express cut)-$25 (Full Cut) booking deposit to secure your spot.
• You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 48 hours in advance without any additional charges.
• Cancellations or reschedules made within 48 hours of the appointment will be charged the full remaining balance of the scheduled service.
Pintura Highlights & Full Color Services
Due to the time and preparation involved in these services:
• A 50% deposit is required to book and secure the appointment.
• You may cancel or reschedule up to 7 days in advance to receive your deposit back.
• If changes are made less than 7 days before your appointment, the remaining balance will be charged in full.
Please note: I will do my best to send reminder emails one week prior to a Pintura/color appointment, but it is ultimately the client’s responsibility to keep track of their scheduled date and time.
Automated reminders are sent 72 hours before all appointments—even Pintura so please do not wait until then to make changes, as charges will apply for Pintura and Full Color appointments.
This policy helps ensure I can offer availability to clients on my waitlist and maintain a smooth, efficient schedule.
